Here is my narrative. I choose to do a story about Furtle the sea turtle and the adventures that he goes on!

Furtle the Sea Turtle

When your a sea turtle you have many responsibilities. No one new this better than Furtle the sea turtle. Furtle the turtle loved being a sea turtle! He loved living in at the seas edge in the warm, shallow water. He also had a huge appeite for eating jellyfish, crab and shrimp. Furtle would spend most of his days playing with other sea turtles. His most favorite playmate was his best friend named Freddy.
Furtle and Freddy new each other ever since they where small hatchlings. Their mothers laid their eggs in the same area, so from the very first night they hatched they were inseparable! When they were smaller their family's would always go on trips together. Some of Furtle best memories are when the two families traveled the East Australian Current.
However, life was not always easy being sea turtle. Their mothers would always tell them that they need to be very careful when their out playing away from the group. Furtle always listened but never really new the reason they had to be careful. One day while the turtles where out playing they noticed some boats in the distant. They wanted to get a better look so they swam closer. Freddy told Furtle "maybe we should turn around because we are going out to far away from the other turtles."
Furtle thought that his friend Freddy was right. So he decided to turn around and head back to the rest of the group. They later asked one of the elder turtles why they had to be careful when they played out away from the others. The elder looked at the to young turtles and told them how special they where. He told them stories about the good old days and how he to would travel far from the group to explore. "Your mothers worry about you because Humans have hunted us for years said the elder." Furtle and Freddy listened to everything the elder said. They couldn't believe their ears! The elder said that humans want take their shells and also the oil in their skin.
The two turtles where scared and shocked. They knew that they should be very careful from now on.
Furtle and Freddy still live in the the ocean swimming and playing, eating all the shrimp and crab they desire. Unfortunately they don't live as freely as they once did. How they wish they could live their life fear free and never have to worry about being taken away from their home. They do hope that one day they can play and swim where they want. So in the mean time they stay close to their families and friends living the good life of a sea turtle!
